Xander turns 3!

I can't believe our little Xanderman is 3 years old! Today was his birthday and it is tradition for the birthday child to wake up to balloons tied to the bed. Around 7:00 this morning I heard Xander's excited shout, "I have balloons! I have balloons!" After we dropped Savannah off at the bus stop we headed off to Chuck E. Cheese, one of Xander's most favorite places. I love going there as well because the tokens are pretty cheap and there are never any people there in the morning. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. After that we headed to Barnes and Noble, another birthday tradition. Xander got to pick out a new book and then we stopped at the Starbucks next door for a Strawberries and Cream frappacino. Yummy! Tonight Xander opened presents which Savannah was willing to help him out with. He got a pirate ship, a Spiderman scooter, some books, Ninja turtles, the Shrek kitty stuffed animal, and a few other items. His favorite is the Shrek kitty...Xander LOVES Shrek so we had to have Shrek plates and napkins, and we all wore Ogre ears for the evening. Xander had a really great birthday and was so excited to talk to grandparents, aunts, and cousins who called to wish him a happy birthday.
