Saturday morning the kids woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had indeed visited our house. He left Savannah some Barbies that she had been wishing for and Xander received a small pirate skiff.
It was then time for the Easter egg hunt. The bunny did a great job hiding lots of eggs for the kids and they did find most of them. One egg alluded them for a little bit but thank goodness it wasn't one of the real eggs.
The last egg is found!
Noah wasn't that impressed by the whole Easter Bunny thing. He got a toy car in his basket but just pushed it aside.
Noah then spotted the plate with the leftover carrots that the Easter Bunny didn't eat...
The carrots looked good, much better than a toy car, so in his mouth they went.
And then he spotted the candy in the kids' baskets.
These are even better than the carrots!
One cute bunny!!!
Another cute bunny!!!!
Do I have egg on my face?
Saturday night we gathered as a family to talk about the true meaning of Easter. We watched the wonderful video "Finding Faith in Christ" and then we made Resurrection Cookies. With each ingredient David read scriptures that talked about Christ and what he went through during the crucifixtion. The kids really enjoyed this activity.
The kids sealed the cookies in the oven just as Jesus was sealed in the tomb.
Overall it was a very special night as we remembered our Savior and all the many wonderful things he has done for each of us.

You always have such great ideas! And you of course actually implement them. I always think, oh we should do that and then promptly forget I ever even thought about it until long after! I wish we could be together on these fun holidays but I love that I can share them by reading and looking at your blog!
