The Salt Pond

Memories of Day 6:

Weather: Hot
Beach: The Salt Pond
Waiting an hour for deli sandwiches
Thinking Xander had been snatched after he walked away from David at the store
David falling on stairs while holding Noah and really hurting his elbow
Grandma telling the kids to come see some fish and each of the kids running in different directions to see the fish rather than to Grandma who was standing right by the fish
The long drive to the other side of St. John
Stuck behind a garbage truck for a few miles and worrying about a repeat of last trip to Salt Pond
Best snorkeling yet
Not the best beach for kids...too many rocks
Swimming with Grandpa

The man-eating ants...okay, so they're not really man-eating but I think they try really hard to be
McKenna stirring up a nest of those ants
McKenna running all through the trees and around the picnic bench to get to the ocean to wash away the ants that were all over her after stirring up their nest
Spotting a mongoose (gotta love 'em...that's why there's no icky snakes on St. John)

Noah finally adjusting to being on this trip and acting somewhat normal
Noah falling asleep in Grandma's arms in the ocean
Swimming with sea turtles (unfortunately pictures on Dad's camera)
Squid
Sing Ray
Lots of beautiful fish
Struggling with my mask (as usual)
The long, hot hike back to the car
The ride home with Kelly's conch and trying to keep the crab alive
The herd of cows in the middles of the road

Xander's new Pirate gear

Check out that hoop earring! Arrrgghhh!
The end is approaching...NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
