Last Saturday evening David and I attended a truly wonderful fireside, "Faith and Football". Although it was sponsored by our church and featured several prominent LDS football people, there were other Christian players that spoke as well. Some of the key speakers included Lavell Edwards (College Football Hall of Fame, BYU), Derrick Mason (Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver and NFL All-Pro), Lenny Moore (NFL Hall of Fame and Baltimore Colts Legend), and Andy Reid (Head Coach of the Philadelphia Eagles). The men spoke of their faith and how it has been a driving motivator behind their success in football and life. It was an inspirational meeting and David and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Although this was not an autograph event, the players and coaches were gracious enough to speak to people afterwards. This is a picture of me with Edwin Mulitalo, an NFL veteran who was part of the Ravens Super Bowl Championship team. He just so happened to have his Super Bowl ring with him and let me try it on. Yes, whip out your magnifying glass for this one because apparently David does not believe in the zoom feature on our camera for my big moment. Really...when am I ever going to get to wear a Super Bowl ring again in my life? It was pretty cool.
Just before we headed out, I noticed that David kept looking Andy Reid's direction. I told him to just go up and introduce himself but he said no, it was time to go. But then David just kept hesitating and hesitating and after some more nudging from me said, "Okay, let's go meet him." We're big Eagles fans and I know how much David admires Andy Reid so I'm glad he decided to meet him. It's at times like this that I know David appreciates how camera happy I am...he now has a great picture of him and Coach Reid.

That is so cool! I am glad that David gave in to your persistent nagging and met Andy Reid! I knew you couldn't be so annoying for nothing. JK big sis! Anyway, that sounds like a really cool fireside, I wish I could have come!
that is so funny about Dave being all shy about meeting couch reid, I bet he's so grateful that you kept insisting!
unfortunately i spent the whole meeting in the hall with sierra, but eric loved the meeting! that is really funny that dave needed so much convincing from you. he is obviously stoked that he got to andy reid and be in a picture with him. look at that smile!
